Ongoing projects

I am interested in how bivalve shellfish habitats support the delivery of ecosystem services. In particular, I am working to identify routes of carbon deposition and release in these habitats and understand the balance between these two parameters.

This work is funded by the Dornoch Environmental Enhancement Project (DEEP), the Scottish blue carbon forum, Natur.Scot and Marine Scotland Science. I am based between Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Napier University and St Abbs Marine Station.
